Showdown Edge Terms of Service
Effective date: November 5, 2026
Last updated: November 5, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Showdown Edge LLC, a California limited liability company ("Showdown Edge," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of showdownedge.com, the Showdown Edge tools for NFL, NBA and any other sports we offer, and any related content, features, emails and services (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, starting a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
PLEASE READ SECTION 17 (DISPUTE RESOLUTION) CAREFULLY. IT REQUIRES MOST DISPUTES TO BE RESOLVED BY INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND WAIVES CLASS ACTIONS, UNLESS YOU OPT OUT WITHIN 30 DAYS.
1. What Showdown Edge is, and what it is not
1.1 An analysis tool. Showdown Edge is a research and lineup-building tool for daily fantasy sports ("DFS") Showdown contests. It provides player projections, lineup optimization, simulations, ownership estimates, modeled metrics (such as top-1% rate and Expected ROI), historical backtests, and related information.
1.2 Not a gaming operator. Showdown Edge does not host, run, or accept entries into any fantasy contest, sports wager, or game of chance. We do not accept, hold, or pay out entry fees, wagers, or prizes. Any contest you enter is between you and the contest operator (for example, DraftKings), under that operator's rules.
1.3 Not affiliated. Showdown Edge is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by DraftKings, FanDuel, any other DFS operator or sportsbook, the NFL, MLB, NBA, any team, any players' association, or any player. All team names, player names, league names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the subject of our analysis.
1.4 Not financial, betting, or professional advice. Nothing in the Service is a recommendation to enter any contest, place any wager, or spend any amount of money. See Section 9 (Disclaimer).
2. Eligibility
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old and old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live. If you use the Service in connection with paid DFS contests, you must also meet the minimum age and every other eligibility requirement to play paid DFS in your location, which in some states is 19 or 21.
2.2 You are solely responsible for knowing and following the laws of your location regarding fantasy sports and sports wagering. The Service is not intended for use where paid fantasy sports are prohibited.
2.3 You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so by law, or if we have previously suspended or terminated your account.
3. Accounts and member approval
3.1 Your account. Access to the Service requires an account with a confirmed email address and an active free trial, paid subscription, or free access we grant. We may refuse, limit, or close any account in our sole discretion, consistent with Section 13.
3.2 Accurate information. You agree to give accurate, current information and keep it updated.
3.3 Security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at support@showdownedge.com (privacy requests: privacy@showdownedge.com) if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
3.4 One person per account. Each account is for one individual. You may not share, sell, rent, or transfer your account or login, or let anyone else use it. We may use reasonable measures, such as limits on simultaneous sessions or devices, to enforce this.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and automatic renewal
4.1 Plans and pricing. Paid plans, prices, billing periods, and included features are shown at checkout and on our pricing page. Current plans: Monthly, $19.99 per month, or Annual, $159.99 per year, each with a 5-day free trial for new accounts (one free trial per person). The plan currently includes the NFL and NBA tools. Sports marked "coming soon" or "off-season" are not included until we announce them, and we may offer some sports to a limited group first.
4.2 Automatic renewal. IF YOU START A PAID SUBSCRIPTION, IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AT THE END OF EACH BILLING PERIOD AND YOUR PAYMENT METHOD WILL BE CHARGED THE THEN-CURRENT PRICE FOR THE SAME PERIOD, UNTIL YOU CANCEL. Before you subscribe, we will clearly show the price, the billing frequency, that the subscription renews until canceled, and how to cancel, and we will ask for your express consent to the automatic renewal. After you subscribe, we will email you an acknowledgment with these terms and cancellation instructions.
4.3 How to cancel. You may cancel at any time, online, in your account at showdownedge.com (Your account → Manage subscription), with no need to call or email us. You can also cancel by emailing support@showdownedge.com (privacy requests: privacy@showdownedge.com). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. We will not charge you again after you cancel.
4.4 Reminders. We will send reminders as required by law, including an annual reminder of your subscription, its price and frequency, and how to cancel, and advance notice before a free trial or promotional price converts to a paid or higher price.
4.5 Free trials and promotions. Our free trial lasts 5 days and requires a payment method at signup. Before you start it, we show the price that applies afterward ($19.99 per month or $159.99 per year, depending on the plan you choose) and the date you will first be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription converts to the paid plan automatically. If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged and you keep access until the trial ends. For any other promotion, we will tell you its length and the price that applies afterward.
4.6 Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will give you clear notice at least 30 days before a price change takes effect on your subscription, and you may cancel before it applies.
4.7 Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe or one of its affiliates may act as the reseller and merchant of record for your purchase, in which case its terms for that purchase also apply. We do not store your full card number. You authorize us and our processor to charge your payment method for all fees you incur. If a payment fails, we may suspend access until it is resolved.
4.8 Taxes. Prices do not include taxes unless stated. Applicable sales, use, or similar taxes are calculated and shown at checkout.
5. Refunds
5.1 Free trial. Your 5-day free trial lets you try the full Service before you pay. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
5.2 Refunds. After the free trial, all payments are final and non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused time, or slates you chose not to play, except: if you contact support@showdownedge.com within 48 hours of your first paid charge, we will refund that charge once per customer. This applies to monthly and annual plans. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the period you paid for. Nothing in this Section limits any refund right you have under applicable law.
5.3 If the Service is unavailable for an extended period because of a problem on our side, we may, at our discretion, provide a credit or partial refund.
6. Data, projections, and availability
6.1 Sources. The Service uses licensed sports data from third-party providers, which may include DFS operator salary and player files, sportsbook game lines and player props, injury reports, and box scores used for actual-score results. We may change data sources at any time.
6.2 No guarantee of accuracy or timeliness. Sports information changes quickly. Lines move, players are ruled in or out, lineups change, and data feeds can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Projections, injury statuses, salaries, ownership estimates, actual-score results, and every other figure in the Service may be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete. Always check the contest operator's official information before you enter a contest.
6.3 Slate coverage. We choose which games and slates to cover and when to update them. We do not promise coverage of any particular game, sport, or slate, or that an update will be posted before a lock time.
6.4 Availability. We aim to keep the Service running, but it is provided on an "as available" basis. It may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, outages of our hosting or data providers, or other reasons, including at or near contest lock times. We are not responsible for losses caused by downtime.
6.5 Changes to the Service. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. If we remove a core feature of a paid plan for the rest of your billing period, we will try to give notice.
7. Your responsibilities when using the Service
7.1 Contest operator rules. You are solely responsible for following the terms, rules, and fair-play policies of every DFS operator you use, including rules on automated tools, multi-entry limits, and how lineups may be created, entered, and edited. Showdown Edge does not log into, submit lineups to, or interact with any operator's site for you. Lineups you export are for you to review and upload yourself.
7.2 Your decisions. You alone decide which lineups to enter, which contests to play, and how much to spend. You are solely responsible for those decisions and their results.
7.3 Acceptable use. You agree not to: - (a) copy, resell, redistribute, publish, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the Service, including projections, odds, props, simulations, or lineups, except for lineups you build for your own personal contest entries; - (b) share your account or login, or let anyone else use the Service through your account; - (c) use bots, scripts, crawlers, or other automated means to access, copy, or extract data from the Service; - (d) reverse engineer, decompile, or try to obtain the source code, models, or underlying data of the Service, except where the law expressly allows it; - (e) interfere with or disrupt the Service, its security, or its servers, or try to get around any access controls or usage limits; - (f) use the Service to break any law or anyone else's rights, including a contest operator's terms or a data provider's license; or - (g) use the Service to build or offer a competing product or service.
8. Intellectual property
8.1 Ours. The Service and everything in it, including software, models, projections, simulations, designs, text, graphics, logos, and the "Showdown Edge" name, are owned by Showdown Edge or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Third-party data is owned by its providers and is licensed to us, not sold.
8.2 Your limited license. While your account is in good standing and your subscription is active, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial DFS research and lineup building, under these Terms.
8.3 Your lineups. You may use lineups and exports you create with the Service for your own contest entries. You may not use them to resell, publish, or run a lineup-selling, coaching, or "picks" service without our written permission.
8.4 Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
9. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS FOR INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.
- No guaranteed results. Daily fantasy sports involve risk and uncertainty. Using Showdown Edge does not guarantee that you will win, cash, or profit in any contest. You can lose money, including all of your entry fees.
- Modeled figures are estimates. Projections, simulations, top-1% rates, win shares, ownership estimates, and Expected ROI are statistical estimates produced by models from assumptions and third-party data. They are meant to compare lineups against each other. They are not predictions, forecasts, or promises of any profit or return.
- Past results do not predict future results. Backtests, historical slates, "winning lineup" displays, and any past performance shown in the Service are hindsight analysis of games that have already been played. They do not show what you would have earned, and they do not predict future outcomes.
- Not advice. Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, legal, tax, or professional gambling advice, or a recommendation to enter any contest or place any wager.
- Third-party data. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the accuracy of salaries, odds, props, injury reports, box scores, or other information from third parties.
- Play responsibly. Only play with money you can afford to lose. If gambling or fantasy sports are causing you financial, emotional, or personal problems, help is free and confidential. Call or text the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-GAMBLER or 1-800-522-4700, or visit ncpgambling.org.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHOWDOWN EDGE AND ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, AND DATA PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, WINNINGS, ENTRY FEES, WAGERS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.
10.2 THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSSES FROM ANY CONTEST ENTRY OR WAGER, FROM INACCURATE OR LATE DATA OR PROJECTIONS, FROM A PLAYER BEING INACTIVE OR INJURED, OR FROM THE SERVICE BEING UNAVAILABLE BEFORE A LOCK TIME.
10.3 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50.
10.4 Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Showdown Edge and its owners, members, managers, employees, and contractors from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your use of the Service, (b) your contest entries or wagers, (c) your breach of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any law, any contest operator's terms, or anyone else's rights.
12. Third-party services
The Service may link to or work with third-party sites and services, such as DFS operators, sportsbooks, payment processors, and data providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, terms, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
13. Suspension and termination
13.1 By you. You may cancel your subscription as described in Section 4.3 and stop using the Service at any time.
13.2 By us. We may suspend or terminate your account or access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms (including account sharing or redistribution of data), if we are required to by law or by a data provider, if your payment fails, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate your paid subscription without cause, or discontinue the Service, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid fees. If we terminate for your breach, no refund is due.
13.3 Survival. Sections 1, 5, 7.3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, 17, and 18 survive termination.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information, including your account details, payment information handled by our processor, and usage data. By using the Service, you acknowledge it.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or in the Service at least 14 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law sooner. Changes do not apply retroactively. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to Section 17, the state and federal courts located in San Bernardino County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
17. Dispute resolution and arbitration
17.1 Informal resolution first. Before filing any claim, you and we agree to try to resolve the dispute informally. Email support@showdownedge.com (privacy requests: privacy@showdownedge.com) with your name, account email, a description of the dispute, and the relief you want. We will do the same if we have a dispute with you. If it is not resolved within 60 days, either party may proceed under this Section.
17.2 Binding individual arbitration. Except as provided in Section 17.4, any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could. Arbitration may be held by video, phone, or written submissions, or in person in the county where you live. Payment of filing and arbitrator fees will follow the administrator's consumer rules.
17.3 Class action waiver. YOU AND WE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not combine claims of more than one person. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim will be decided in court, not arbitration.
17.4 Exceptions. Either party may (a) bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies, and (b) seek injunctive relief in court for infringement or misuse of intellectual property, or unauthorized access to or redistribution of the Service or its data.
17.5 Opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@showdownedge.com (privacy requests: privacy@showdownedge.com) within 30 days after you first accept these Terms, with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your name and account email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
17.6 Public injunctive relief. Nothing in this Section waives any right you have under California law to seek public injunctive relief in court. Any such claim will be stayed until individual claims are resolved in arbitration.
18. General
18.1 Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
18.2 Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be enforced as far as possible.
18.3 No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
18.4 Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by law.
18.5 Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of hosting, payment, or data providers, internet failures, or changes in law.
18.6 Notices. We may send notices to the email address on your account. You may send notices to support@showdownedge.com (privacy requests: privacy@showdownedge.com) or to our mailing address in Section 19.
18.7 California users. Under California Civil Code Section 1789.3, California users may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
