Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 14, 2026
Last updated: October 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Showdown Edge LLC, a California limited liability company ("Showdown Edge," "we," "us," or "our") collects when you use showdownedge.com and the Showdown Edge NFL, MLB and NBA tools (the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Showdown Edge is a members-only fantasy sports research and lineup-building tool. We built it to collect as little personal information as possible.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details. Your username and password. Accounts are created by the Showdown Edge owner for approved members. We do not currently ask for your real name, email address, phone number, or mailing address. To sign you in, our login provider stores an internal sign-in ID made from your username (for example, yourname@members.showdownedge.com). It is not a real mailbox and we do not send email to it.
- Passwords. Our login provider stores your password in hashed (scrambled) form. We cannot see it.
- Member status. Your role (member or owner) and the date your account was created.
- What you save in the tools. Saved lineups, slates you hide, and preferences such as your default lineup count. These sync to your account so they are there on any device you sign in from.
- Messages. Anything you send us when you contact us for support.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in session. When you sign in, your browser stores a session token in its local storage so you stay signed in. It is used only to keep you signed in and is removed when you sign out.
- Server and security logs. Like almost every website, our hosting and database providers automatically record technical information when your browser connects, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages or data requested, and the date and time. These logs are used to run, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
Information that stays on your device
- Lineup building and simulations run inside your browser.
- Files you import, such as a DraftKings salary CSV, are read inside your browser and are not uploaded to us.
- Lineup files you download are created in your browser and saved to your device.
What we do not collect
- We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics.
- We do not collect your DraftKings or other contest-operator login, your contest entries, or your winnings.
- We do not collect your precise location.
2. When paid subscriptions launch
If we offer paid subscriptions, we will collect what we need to bill you and meet our legal obligations, and we will update this Policy before we do. This is expected to include:
- An email address, to send receipts, renewal reminders, and required notices.
- Billing details handled by our payment processor (such as Stripe). The processor collects and stores your full card number. We receive only limited information, such as your name, billing email, the last four digits and expiration of your card, your billing location, and your subscription and payment status.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide the Service, including signing you in and syncing your saved lineups and preferences;
- approve, manage, and remove member accounts;
- keep the Service secure, including detecting and preventing account sharing, abuse, and unauthorized access;
- troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the Service;
- respond to your support requests;
- once paid plans launch, process payments and send receipts, renewal reminders, and other notices the law requires; and
- comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not use it to build profiles for anyone else.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under their own privacy and security terms:
| Provider | What it does for us | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts the website | Server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) |
| Supabase | Login, database, and member management | Username, sign-in ID, hashed password, member status, saved lineups and preferences, logs |
| Google Fonts | Delivers the fonts the site uses | Your browser requests font files from Google, so Google receives your IP address and browser information |
| ESPN public scoreboard | Live and final scores when you press Actual scores | Your browser requests scores directly from ESPN, so ESPN receives your IP address and browser information. No account information is sent. |
| Payment processor (once paid plans launch) | Processes subscription payments | Billing and card details you enter at checkout |
We may also share information:
- if the law requires it, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order;
- to protect rights and safety, including to investigate fraud, security problems, or violations of our Terms of Service; and
- in a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to your information.
5. How long we keep information
- Account details, saved lineups, and preferences are kept while your account is active. When an account is removed, we delete the member record and its saved data within 30 days, except where we must keep something to comply with the law or resolve a dispute.
- Server and security logs are kept for the limited periods set by our hosting and database providers.
- Billing records, once paid plans launch, are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require.
6. Security
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and database access rules that let each member read and change only their own saved data. Slate data is available only to signed-in members. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else, and tell us right away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.
7. Your choices and rights
You can:
- see and change your saved lineups and preferences in the tools at any time;
- change your password from your account page;
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong; and
- ask us to delete your account and saved data.
To make a request, contact us as described in Section 12. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
California residents
If you live in California, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, to the extent it applies to us. These include the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to delete it; to correct it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, and we use your password only to sign you in. You may make a request yourself or through an authorized agent.
California "Shine the Light." We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We do not track you across other websites and do not use cross-site advertising. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to opt you out of, but we treat any such signal as a request not to sell or share your information.
8. Age requirement
The Service is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough to play paid daily fantasy sports where you live. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it and close the account.
9. Where information is processed
Showdown Edge LLC operates the Service in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
10. Links to other sites
The Service may link to other sites, such as DraftKings, sportsbooks, or news sources. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service changes, for example when paid subscriptions launch. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and if a change is material, we will notify members in the Service or by email before it takes effect.
12. Contact us
Showdown Edge LLC is responsible for the information described in this Policy. For privacy questions and requests (access, correction, deletion, or anything else in Section 9), email privacy@showdownedge.com. For account help or general questions, email support@showdownedge.com. We aim to reply within a few business days.
